Bello Mohamed Baba-Ari, the Nigerian Air Force pilot, died in a F-7Ni aircraft in Abuja on 28/09/2018.
Baba-Ari was a Squadron Leader, his death occurred in Katamkpe Hill at the country’s capital during rehearsal for the forthcoming Independence day celebration on October 1. He died of complication after ejecting from the crashed aircraft. Baba-Ari is remembered by airmen and airwomen.
Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, described the late Baba-Ari as “a gentleman officer, distinguished pilot, dedicated patriot and irrefutable hero of the war on terror”.
