Floyd Mayweather will make a shock comeback against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.
The 41-year-old has signed a deal with Rizin Fighting Federation to fight in Saitama, Japan on December 31.
Nasukawa, 20, is unbeaten in 27 kickboxing fights and has a record of 4-0 in MMA.
The rules of Mayweather’s surprise contest have not yet been confirmed but he hasn’t ruled out the prospect of his fight allowing some elements of MMA.
“I can wrestle, I can wrestle a little bit. I can box a lot a bit,” said Mayweather.
“We will just see. I can do it all. I can do anything if I set my mind to it.
“I am pretty sure that when I speak with the guys from my team we are going to get on the same page so we can go out there and do what we have to do.”
Mayweather’s record currently stands at 49-0 after he beat Conor McGregor in Las Vegas last year.
