Super Falcons of Nigeria forward Asisat Oshoala made a great start to her loan spell with FC Barcelona Women’s team by scoring on her debut for the club in their 4-0 away win against Rayo Vallecano in a league clash at the Ciudad Deportiva on Sunday.
Oshoala scored Barcelona’s fourth goal of the encounter in the 63rd minute with her first touch of the game less than a minute after replacing Alexia Putellas.
Barcelona raced into a two goal lead early in the first half with Putellas and Lieke Martens scoring in the 15th and 16th minutes respectively.
Mariona Caldentey added the third a minute before the half hour mark as the visitors totally overran the home team.
Oshoala linked up with the Barcelona Ladies on a six-month loan deal from Chinese side Dalian Quanjian last month.
She has previously played for English Women’s clubs; Arsenal and Liverpool.
