Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Antonio Valencia will leave Manchester United at the end of the season – after ten years at the club.
The boss revealed that he will need to find a new skipper as Antonio Valencia is set to leave Old Trafford after a 10-season stint with the Reds.
“We’ll see who’s here for next season and I’ve got a couple of players in my head that could be captain,” he said.
“We’ve had Antonio, he’s going, we’ve had Ashley, we’ve had Paul, we’ve had David, Chris has been captain, so there are players here who can be captain on the pitch.
”We just need to decide who the club captain is. Who’s going to be the voice in and around the place.“
This season, Antonio Valencia has played 15.6% of total available minutes in the Premier League. For someone who would have been 34-years old at the start of next season, Solskjær has mentioned he will leave the club in the summer.
