Last week, the Commodities markets have a strong volatility. The Gold and Silver markets have uptrend movement. For WTI Crude oil prices have declined showing a consolidation to the level before the KSA refineries bombarded by Yemen army Force.

Commodities: weekly variations

The first and third graphics show a long term uptrend for the Gold and Palatine markets. The trend is relatively quiet for the gold market and volatile for the silver market. The second graph shows a down trend for the Crude oil WTI with high volatility.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) Ex Food & Energy released by the US Department of Labor Statistics is a measure of price movements by the comparison between the retail prices of a representative shopping basket of goods and services.
The Initial Jobless Claims released by the US Department of Labor is a measure of the number of people filing first-time claims for state unemployment insurance. In other words, it provides a measure of strength in the labor market.
